Dignity Over Charity: A New Future for Mothers & Daughters

Empowering Low-Income Women and Their Daughters with Skills, Confidence, and Dignity

In the crowded streets of our cities, under tarpaulin roofs and next to smoky tea stalls, you’ll find the real backbone of our economy — street vendors, food stall owners, domestic workers, and self-employed women who work relentlessly to keep their families afloat.

They fight daily battles with poverty, illiteracy, and social stigma. And yet, when their daughters reach college age, most of them have no choice but to beg for charity to fund their education. Maya Foundation is the  "Beacon of Hope" Ashapath is a movement to transform lives—not through charity or temporary aid, but through empowerment.

Women Empowerment

Ashwini Ramachandra, a single mother of two and the driving force behind the initiative, has faced many hardships along the way. At a meeting of the Karnataka State Unorganised Workers Organisation, she met Dr Kadiyali Srivatsa and sought his help in funding the education of several members. Dr Srivatsa, however, does not believe in charity — he says that “charity conquers free will,” as taught in Hinduism. Instead, he concentrates on empowering people with soft skills, behaviour, communications, that enhance confidence and restore their dignity.

NLP anchoring is a technique from Neuro-Linguistic Programming that links a specific stimulus (the anchor)—like a touch, gesture, or sound—to a desired emotional state. By intentionally setting an anchor during the peak intensity of a powerful positive emotion, individuals can create a trigger to instantly recall and access that resourceful state in the future by re-activating the anchor, similar to how classical conditioning works.

What is your mission, why should I trust you?

At Aashapath, we believe in education, skill, and empowerment—not charity. If the poor can’t pay, so be it. Those who can, support one family, one daughter, one dream.

We are not chasing wealth, fame, or recognition. Every human born on earth has a purpose—and this is ours: to help others discover their strength, earn with dignity, and live with compassion.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to equip women and children with real-world skills and confidence, so they can find meaningful work, global opportunities, and lasting happiness.

Why are you collabrating?

Dr Maya GPT can only protect you from infections, and also educate you to prevent getting infections and illness. Modern medicine, created by doctors, claims to cure illness and disease. I have worked for more than 40 years, and I have never found any drug that cures any illness. The only one that cured some infections was an Antibiotic. My mission is to share information so that you will not be taken for a ride. Now MayaGPT is unique, it's not similar to ChatGPT, or other AI, because Maya uses a simple colour-coded symptom and signs combination like doctors do and advises you to go to a doctor. Aswini introduced me to what looks like "Spiritual Healing". I witnessed and observed how she acts, talks and answers questions people ask. Her method is similar to mine, because 90% of the time I can say what is wrong with you after I listen to your story, then perform tests to rule out serious illness or infections. Rarely have I used any test to diagnose any illness; it must be used only to confirm the diagnosis. I am observing Aswini, and see if I can use her skill to list problems that can be solved without going to doctors.

How can Aashapath Help poor, uneducated women who are supporting their family, and children?

Our organization is dedicated to uplifting and empowering women in various fields such as self-employed laborers, street vendors, farmers, and domestic workers. These women have been deprived of formal educations because of cultural belief, fincial hardship, and also difficulty to aquire the skill to read and write because of inherited familial problem like dyslexia, Autism or ADHD

Who is funding this project and can we collabrate of help your organisation in any way?

We provide these women with essential access to communication, healthcare, education, and tools that are crucial for their financial and personal growth. The cost of subscribing to ChatGPT is expensive, so we are collecting donations and may have to start introducing subscription because the benifits over wigh cost.
